HC Deb 07 August 1975 vol 897 c380W
Mr. Gorst

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is aware of the traffic problems and dangers at the Mill Hill roundabout on the A41; what examination he has made into the hazards to pedestrians and other road users at that point; if he will install traffic lights in order to solve these problems; and when he expects to announce that action is being taken in the matter.

Mr. Carmichael

Traffic conditions at the roundabout are being investigated by the Department in conjunction with the London Borough of Barnet and the Metropolitan Police. The question of installing traffic signals is being considered together with other possibilities. I hope later this year to announce a public participation exercise in which the viable solutions will be explained and comments invited.
