§ The Solicitor-GeneralThe backlog of cases awaiting trial at the Manchester Crown Court on Friday 25th July was 206; these are usually disposed of at a rate of between 30 and 40 a week. Of the 206 cases, five have been committed there from Bury magistrates' court.
