§ Mr. Reidasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) whether, after the establishment of the Scottish Assembly, the present Scottish Office will be maintained in Dover House, Whitehall; if so, whether it will be staffed by United Kingdom civil servants; and what their relationship will be to the Civil Service working to the devolved Scottish administration in Edinburgh;

§ Mr. William RossThese are matters which fall to be determined in the light of Government's decisions yet to be taken on the functions to be devolved to the Scottish Assembly and the respective rôles of the Assembly and the Secretary of State.
