§ Mr. Alec JonesThe most recent review resulted in higher rates of disablement pension and allowances payable from 7th April 1975. An ex-private soldier who is 100 per cent. disabled now receives £19.50 a week for himself and wife and 37½p for each child. If he is unemployable, he receives an additional £19.30 a week for himself and wife, £5.65 for his first child, and £4.15 for each other child. Supplementary allowances such as constant attendance allowance, invalidity allowance and comforts allowance may also be payable. All these allowances are free of tax.
