HL Deb 17 April 1975 vol 359 c592WA
Lord ROLLO

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they view with alarm the recent advances of Communist forces in South-East Asia; how such advances accord with the terms of the negotiated ceasefire; and what action, if any, the Government propose to take, particularly in the field of rescue and relief work in Vietnam.

Lord GORONWY-ROBERTS

Her Majesty's Government are deeply concerned about the situation in Indo-China. We deplore the continued fighting in Vietnam in violation of the Paris Agreement of 1973, and have called on the Vietnamese parties to seek a political solution through a resumption of talks in accordance with that Agreement. The Government have set aside £1 million for relief work in Indo-China to help alleviate human suffering there.

House adjourned at twenty-one minutes before eight o'clock.
