§ Mr. Alec JonesSalary scales for nursery nurses employed by local authorities are determined by the National Joint Council for Local Authorities' Administrative, Professional, Technical and Clerical Services. The council is an independent body, formed from representatives of employing authorities and staff interests, and is not subject to direction from central Government.
