HC Deb 07 April 1975 vol 889 c338W
21. Mr. Carter-Jones

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she has received the report of the Working Party on Fostering Practice concerning scales of boarding-out allowance; what recommendations it makes concerning payments to people who foster children who would satisfy the criteria for the attendance allowance; and if she will make a statement.

Dr. Owen

The working party was set up for the purpose of producing a guide on fostering practice. This work has not yet been completed, but the guide should be ready later this year. I have invited the working party to consider the payments made to foster parents but it is up to the working party what, if any, recommendations it decides to make.
