asked the Secretary of State for Wales what priority is to be given to training teachers able to teach Welsh and able to teach other subjects through the medium of the Welsh language.

The Burnham Committee has not reached a final decision about which schools will be designated for the payment of the special allowances to teachers in schools in areas of social deprivation.
