HC Deb 25 November 1974 vol 882 cc29-30W
Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what restrictions, if any, are placed on retailers who purchase Army surplus stock of clothing, particularly battledress, greatcoats, jackets, trousers and jerseys.

Mr. Robert C. Brown

The Army's disposal policy provides that certain items of uniform clothing are not offered for sale whole, but are either mutilated and sold as rags or are totally destroyed. For those items which are sold whole there are no restrictions placed on the purchasers.
