§ Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Defence what percentage savings in energy consumption he expects to achieve in 1974 within his Department, all establishments over which he has responsibility, and all branches of the Armed Services; and what percentage savings he is budgeting for in 1975.
§ Mr. JohnAfter national restrictions were lifted at the end of April 1974 a target of 10 per cent, was set for savings in oil fuel. This is expected to be achieved. A 6 per cent, saving in other forms of energy is also expected in the financial year 1974–75. Savings to be sought in the next financial year are under consideration.
