HC Deb 20 November 1974 vol 881 c433W
Mr. Terry Walker

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will indicate in the OFFICIAL REPORT the terms on which the Chairman and members of the Royal Commission on the Distribution of Income and Wealth have been appointed.

Mr. Foot

The information is as follows. The right hon. Lord Diamond was appointed for a period of three years as full-time Chairman of the Royal Commission and receives an annual salary of £16,350 plus threshold payments. The eight other members have been appointed for two years on a part-time basis and receive £1,000 a year. The other terms are similar to those applicable to appointments to statutory bodies.
