Mr. Nicholas Edwards

asked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) when he expects to complete the speedy reassessment that he has promised of the position of the Milford fishing industry;

(2) when he first received representations about the position of the Milford fishing industry;

(3) when he began his reassessment of the position of the Milford fishing industry, following the rejection of his proposals by the local authorities.

I received representations in March. An offer of assistance was made early in September. Following a refusal by the local authorities to participate, I made arrangements in mid-October for a reassessment of all aspects of the situation. This should be completed shortly.
