§ Mr. Stanleyasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will introduce an Order-in-Council to enable the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration to examine complaints by teachers of maladministration of superannuation.
§ Mr. PrenticeI have been asked to reply.
No. The Parliamentary Commissioner was set up to investigate complaints brought by private citizens of maladministration by Government Departments, rather than the relations between the State and its employees where there are already well-established grievance procedures. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland, my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales and I will continue to consider any representations made on individual cases.
