§ Mr. Stanleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will propose substantially to increase the £5 maximum fine under the Public Health Act 1961 for the demolition of buildings without giving prior notice to the local authority.
§ Mr. OakesMy right hon. Friend has no current plans to do so. He is, however, at present considering the Report by Mr. George Dobry, QC, on the Control of Demolition, in which he proposes that the demolition of all buildings should be subject to planning control.
