§ Miss Joan LestorBoth political parties in Seychelles are now committed to a policy of independence. A constitutional conference was planned for this autumn, but, largely because of by-elections in Seychelles, has had to be postponed to the spring. In the light of the conclusions of this conference Her Majesty's Government would propose to reach decisions on constitutional advance and, subject to the104W approval of Parliament, on final progress towards independence.
