§ Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what objections he has received from the Epping Forest District Council to his proposals to site a remand centre at North Weald.
§ Dr. SummerskillPlanning clearance in principle was obtained for the proposed remand centre before the creation of the present district council. The council has expressed a wish to be consulted about the details of the scheme and discussions will take place shortly.
