Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will consider continuing the oil subsidy to horticultural producers.

Mr. Strang

After considering the most recent representations by growers my right hon. Friend has decided that in present circumstances we shall not be able to continue this subsidy beyond the date originally announced.
