§ Mr. MasonA number of representations have been received about the pay of skilled inspectors working in ROFs Nottingham, Radway Green and Birtley. The possibilities of allocating some of the funds available under the Pay Code to enable some improvement to be made, by way of a new bonus scheme, will be examined as part of the central negotiations with the trade union side of the JCC on the 1974 Industrial Civil Service pay settlement. At this stage it would be inappropriate for me to receive such a deputation, since the matter is being discussed in the usual negotiating channels.
