HC Deb 23 May 1974 vol 874 c274W
Mrs. Winifred Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many representations he has received regarding vaccine brain damage caused to children; and what investigations he is going to make.

Mr. William Ross

Four. I am awaiting the advice of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation and will bring any recommendations it makes to the attention of medical practitioners in Scotland. The Health Departments will also give any evidence and assistance possible to the Royal Commission on Compensation and Civil Liability, which is considering the question of compensation for damage resulting from vaccination.
