Mr. Faulds

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will take steps to establish how many works of art valued at over £10,000 known by the police to have been stolen in the United Kingdom during the last five years have not yet been recovered;

(2) whether he will now take steps to collect centrally information as to how many rewards have been paid with the approval of the police authorities within the last five years for the return of stolen works of art and as to the number of convictions resulting therefrom.
