HC Deb 22 May 1974 vol 874 c191W
Mrs. Winifred Ewing

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is her policy towards setting up further education and other facilities for the disabled.

Mr. Alfred Morris

Further education is a matter for my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Education and Science and for Scotland; other Ministers may also be involved in the provision of facilities for the disabled. But in general the policy of the Government is to do all possible to expand facilities within the limits of available resources and to integrate disabled people into the community. If the hon. Member has any specific proposals, I shall be very glad to examine them.
