§ Mr. Roy JenkinsI shall be responsible for the functions arising from the Wireless Telegraphy Acts, the BBC's Charter, the Independent Broadcasting Authority Act and Part IV of the Post Office Act 1969. These include regulation of the use of the frequency spectrum and all questions of broadcasting policy, including licensing the installation and use of transmitting and receiving apparatus, the provision of programmes by cable and broadcasting via satellites.
