§ Mr. Lomasasked the Prime Minister what is his usual practice concerning letters received from hon. Members' constituents; and if a reply is sent them by him if he will notify the hon. Members concerned.
§ The Prime MinisterI have received an average of over 2,800 letters a week from members of the public since I took office. In general, I send a copy of my reply to the correspondent's Member of Parliament only when it is clear from the correspondence that the hon. Member is already involved.
