§ Mr. David Priceasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of his intention to recast the tax credit scheme, whether the computerisation of the work of the Inland Revenue is to continue, and on the basis of continuing with the taxation and social security systems along existing lines.
§ Dr. GilbertThe computerisation of the collection and accounting processes, and of the assessment work outside the PAYE field, is continuing as planned. Within the PAYE field, however, I have no statement to make at present.
