§ 43. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in view of his decision of 11th April to allow illegal immigrants to remain in this country, he will rescind the instruction to deport a family consisting of the husband from New Zealand, the wife from Australia, and the daughter born in Great Britain, details of which have been sent to him; and whether he will give the reasons why this family are being deported.
§ Mr. Alexander W. LyonThis family are not being deported. The husband has been refused a variation of his conditions of admission. He has given notice of appeal and his appeal will be heard by an independent adjudicator. In the meantime it would not be right for me to comment.
