asked the Secretary of State for Energy what view the Government take of the EEC proposal for a directive obliging member States to maintain a minimum stock of fuel at electricity undertakings sufficient to maintain electricity supplies for 50 days (reference XVII/ 269/1/73—E COM (73) 2245 final dated 9th January 1974); and if he will make a statement.
