§ Mr. JuddAs my right hon. Friend the Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs said on 13th May 1974
'The Ministry of Defence will bear the normal operating costs of the units concerned; additional costs arising from their use in Egypt will be met out of United Kingdom aid funds apart from a wide range of local services which are to be provided free of charge by the Egyptian authorities."—[Vol. 873, c. 354.]It is not possible to compute the additional costs accurately until after the operation has been completed but every effort is being made to keep them as low as possible.
