Although there are a few areas in which there are supply difficulties the water supply situation in Wales is generally satisfactory. There are 18 reservoirs of over 1,000 million gallons capacity in Wales; details are given in the following table:

No, but the Government have encouraged the initiative taken by the South-West Economic Planning Council to co-ordinate the views and actions of the local authorities and other agencies concerned. At the council's request, a working party of central and local Government officials is identifying the possible impact of offshore operations around the South-West peninsula.
