§ Mr. Loydenasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the reports prepared for the previous administration by consultants on the ship repairing industry.
§ Mr. Benn,pursuant to his reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 20th May 1974; 10W Vol. 874, c. 16–17], gave the following information
The report, which has been published today, provides much useful information about the ship repairing industry. There will be early consultation with all interested parties, and the widest possible discussion will be welcomed by the Government. The report and discussion arising from it will be taken into account by my Department when preparing proposals for the shipbuilding, ship repairing and marine equipment industries.
