HC Deb 28 June 1974 vol 875 cc16-7W
Mr. Ridley

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list the Commonwealth countries referred to in his speech on 11th June which, respectively, feel that the spread of diversification has gone so far that not much can be pulled back, have ties of blood, sentiment and history with Great Britain and would like to see a pulling back if it could be secured, and are more concerned to see their relations with the Community broadened than to keep a market with Great Britain.

Mr. James Callaghan

The details of exchanges we have with Commonwealth or other Governments must remain confidential.
