asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the gross national product of Northern Ireland and how this compares with that of the rest of the United Kingdom.

Mr. Orme

There is no official estimate of Northern Ireland's gross national product. The gross domestic product figure for the Province in 1972 was£1,121 million, which represents about 2.1 per cent. of the United Kingdom gross domestic product figure of£53,484 million.
