asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will now adopt a target date for the completion of the process of renegotiation of Great Britain's terms of membership of the EEC.

Not yet. We shall proceed as rapidly as possible, but it is too early to set a target date for completion.
