§ 55. Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Member answering on behalf of the Church Estates Commissioners what steps are taken by the Church Commissioners to inquire into the treatment of residential tenants of property companies in which the Church Commissioners have substantial holdings of stock.
§ Mr. BishopThe commissioners have few substantial holdings of shares or stock in companies owning residential property. Where they do have such holdings they follow their normal practice of communicating directly with company managements on any ethical and social issues which may arise.
