HC Deb 19 June 1974 vol 875 cc189-90W
Mr. Corrie

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many agricultural tied cottages there are in England; and how many evictions or attempted evictions have taken place in the last 10 years.

Mr. Kaufman

Departmental information is available only for the number of agricultural workers occupying accommodation under their contracts of employment. The number of such workers in England and Wales is approximately 65,000. No statistics are available on evictions from agricultural tied cottages.
