asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will amend the prison regulations so that in the case of prisoners refusing to eat it is established that (a) there shall be no attempt at force feeding, (b) they shall be denied the privilege of visitors, and (c) if their fast is fatal they shall be buried within the confines of a prison.

With regard to the first part of the Question, I have nothing to add to my reply to the supplementary question from the hon. Member for Berwick-upon-Tweed (Mr. Beith) on 23rd May.—[Vol. 874 Cols. 601–2.] With regard to the second and third parts, the answer is "No".
