HC Deb 19 June 1974 vol 875 c151W
Mr. Loveridge

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if, from representations made to him, he will alter the methods relating to identification processes in Scottish judicial proceedings.

Mr. William Ross

The Departmental Committee on Criminal Procedure in Scotland, chaired by Lord Thomson, is considering identification procedures among other aspects of criminal procedures in Scotland. Until the committee's report has been submitted and considered I do not think it would be right to consider altering the present procedures.
