§ Mrs. Chalkerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will consider extending the period for which 75 per cent. improvement grant is available beyond the qualifying date of 30th September 1973 in the special areas where local authorities took more than six months to process applications made before 1st April 1973.
§ Mr. FreesonNo. I sympathise with owners who may experience difficulty, perhaps through no fault of their own, but no concession can be made beyond that already announced relating to applications approved on or before 30th September 1973.
