§ Mr. Urwinasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received from local authorities in the Northern Region concerning the effect of the rate support grant revision for 1974–75, and of the future structure of Government grants; what replies he has sent; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. OakesWe have received a number of representations from local authorities in the region. Their views will be considered in the present review of the basis of the rate support grant. In addition, I hope to visit some authorities in the region shortly for discussions on next year's rate support grant settlement.
