§ Mr. John SilkinCitizens' Advice Bureaux are an essential part of the network of centers through which advice and information are provided on public and social services and on consumer affairs. Grants for the maintenance and extension of the work of the bureaus are given by local authorities to individual centers and by the central Government to the National Association of Citizens' Advice Bureaux.
