asked the Secretary of State for Energy what was the United Kingdom consumption of oil in the years 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973.

Estimates of future energy input into the CEGB system have been published on page 45 of the Minutes of Evidence to the Select Committee on Science and Technology (Energy Resources Sub-Committee), December 1973. Corresponding details of electricity supplied have not been published, but should be broadly represented by the energy input trends.
