§ Mr. William RossUp to June 1974, 53,376 dwellings of six or more storeys had been completed by local authorities and 6,242 by new town corporations and the Scottish Special Housing Association. Corresponding completion figures for houses in five-storey blocks are not available, but about 10,000 such houses have been approved for building by these public authorities since 1960.
