HC Deb 30 July 1974 vol 878 c161W
Mr. Robin F. Cook

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many dwellings completed by local authorities, new towns in Scotland and the Scottish Special Housing Association to the most recent convenient date are (a) five storeys high, (b) six or more storeys high.

Mr. William Ross

Up to June 1974, 53,376 dwellings of six or more storeys had been completed by local authorities and 6,242 by new town corporations and the Scottish Special Housing Association. Corresponding completion figures for houses in five-storey blocks are not available, but about 10,000 such houses have been approved for building by these public authorities since 1960.
