asked the Secretary of State for Energy when it is proposed to launch the British National Oil Corporation.

Mr. Varley

The BNOC will be set up as soon as the necessary legislation has been approved, and other necessary arrangements have been made.

Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether it is proposed to permit British National Oil Corporation to operate abroad.

Mr. Varley

This has not yet been decided.
