§ Mr. Geoffrey Finsbergasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT all those extra-statutory concessions now being operated by the Inland Revenue and the dates when they first became operative.
§ Dr. Gilbert, pursuant to his reply [26th July 1974], gave the following information:
The Inland Revenue's pamphlet IR1 (1970) lists extra-statutory concessions in operation at 1st August 1970 and has been brought up to date annually by supplements published in 1971, 1972 and 92W plus social security contributions; (b) total taxation, including local rate or other local taxes; (c) central Government taxation; (d) central Government direct taxation; and (e) gross national product.
§ Dr. Gilbert, pursuant to his reply [23rd July 1974], gave the following information:
The latest year for which comparable figures are available is 1971 for which the percentages are shown in the following table.
1973. A further supplement is being prepared for publication, and I will send the hon. Member a list of the new extra-statutory concessions which will appear in it as soon as possible.
