Mr. Loyden

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is (1) the number of beds in the urology unit of the Sefton General Hospital, Liverpool, (2) the number of patients waiting for treatment and the period of waiting, and (3) the number of private patients that have been treated in the urology unit in the last 12 months.

Dr. Owen

(1) 28; (2) on 30th June 1974, 144 of whom 137 have waited less than six months and seven over six months but under one year; (3) four in 12 months ending 30th June 1974.
