asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will set up a committee of inquiry into the breakdown of transport facilities in south-west Hertfordshire.

Mr. Mulley

This would be a matter for the county council to consider in exercise of its responsibilities under Section 203 of the Local Government Act 1972.
