§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will arrange a departmental seminar or conference for interested bodies in the United Kingdom on the subject of the UN World Food Conference due to take place in November 1974.
§ Mr. EnnalsThe World Food Conference will be discussed at a meeting to be held on 23rd July between senior officials of the Ministry of Overseas Development, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, together with member organisations of the United Kingdom Standing Conference on the Second United Nations Development Decade and other interested organisations. In addition, those Departments concerned are already in contact with various organisations and individuals about the conference. They are ready to deal with any points which may be raised, and to receive delegations. These arrangements should enable the views of interested bodies to be taken fully into account in our preparations for the conference.
