Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced in his Budget Statement that there would be price increases for domestic and other quarterly-billed consumers on bills reaching most of them from the beginning of August. Such bills will relate to consumption for the quarter beginning from the consumers, first meter reading on or after 1st May.
