asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement about the import of coal stocks into Great Britain from overseas.

Mr. Eadie

Coal imports were 4.9 million tons in 1972 and 1.6 million tons last year. Imports in the first five months of this year were just under 1.4 million tons.
