HC Deb 17 July 1974 vol 877 c161W
Mrs. Colquhoun

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will conduct an investigation into the problems of deaf school leavers with a view to ensuring that the majority are not siphoned off into dead-end jobs, and sometimes no employment at all.

Mr. Armstrong

The Warnock Committee may be expected to consider the problems of deaf school leavers within its general remit to review educational provision for handicapped children and young people and arrangements to prepare them for entry into employment.
