HC Deb 15 July 1974 vol 877 cc50-1W
Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what provision local authorities in Scotland have made under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968 to promote social welfare by making available advice, guidance and assistance to the general public on a scale appropriate for their areas.

Mr. William Ross

Information about this provision is contained in my Department's annual reports on "Social Work in Scotland" and in the annual digests on "Scottish Social Work Statistics". If there are any particular points about which my hon. Friend wishes to have further information perhaps he will write to me.
